Introduction to Oban - Outskirts
Famed as the seafood and kayaking capital of Scotland, the town of Oban can be found in the Argyll and Bute region. The town is connected by ferry to a wide range of nearby destinations such as Colonsay, Mull, Kerrera and Tiree, and after checking in to their choice of Oban hotels, visitors will want to spend time exploring the surrounding area. A large number of exciting and interesting daytrip destinations await visitors, one of the most popular being the island of Mull, which is located just to the west of Oban. Covering an area of 338 square miles, Mull is one of the largest islands in Scotland and boasts an excellent range of attractions. Among the highlights here is the small village of Lochbuie, which boasts a number of pretty sandy beaches as well as a castle, while a trip top Tobermory Distillery will be high on the to-do list for whiskey lovers. other spellings: obanhotels, oban otel, oban hotell, obann hote, obarn hotle, hotes in aban
