Introduction to Inveraray - Campbeltown
Campbeltown, located on Scotland's beautiful Kintyre peninsula, is a busy fishing port. The town is home to a population in the region of 5,000 people and is also one of Scotland's few categorised whiskey producing regions. In fact, it previously referred to itself as the world's whiskey capital. The main road into the town is the A83, which connects with the town of Inveraray. There is a small airport just a couple of kilometres out of town which provides a weekday service to Glasgow International Airport. As far as tourist attractions go, there is a heritage centre and a museum, with the latter featuring collections from the town's past as well as prehistoric items excavated from nearby sites. Campbeltown stages the Mull of Kintyre Music Festival each year, an event which has previously featured a number of established bands. There is a decent choice of Campbeltown hotels, some of which boast views onto Campbeltown Loch.other spellings: campbeltownhotels, cambeltown otel, cambeltown hotell, campbaltown hote
