Culloden House Hotel - Inverness

At this establishment, renovated in 2006, guests will experience country living at its finest. The hotel is a building in Georgian style, dating back to the 18th century, and incorporates a fortified mid-16th century castle set in endless parklands. Culloden House was requisitioned by Bonnie Prince Charlie during the Jacobean uprising and used as his lodging and battle headquarters prior to the fateful and final battle on Culloden Moor in 1746. The Palladian style interior features ornate plasterwork, fine antiques, and marble fireplaces to complement the warm Scottish hospitality. On offer are a total of 28 rooms, in addition to a lobby area with a reception desk manned around the clock, a safe, a currency exchange facility, a cloakroom, conference facilities, and an Internet connection via W-LAN.
