Introduction to Blairgowrie, Scotland
The unusually named Scottish town of Blairgowrie is well known for its trout and salmon fishing areas. Its full name is Blairgowrie and Rattray but many locals simply call it Blair and many of its residents work in nearby Perth and Dundee. The town is fairly basic in its tourism offerings and hotels in Blairgowrie are also pretty basic yet suitable for anyone looking to spend a few nights in a comfortable room in a pretty region of Scotland. The Saturday markets in Wellmeadow are popular and draw in large crowds.
