The St Giles' Cathedral, since the 12th century, a church has stood on the site where you’ll find St Giles' Cathedral today. The present building, impressive with its flying buttresses and distinctive open-crown steeple, dates from the 16th century. After the Reformation, John Knox became the first Protestant minister.
