Riyadh Motor Show: attracting more than 100,000 people every December, this event is the largest motor show in what is the capital of the world’s biggest oil producer. In other words it’s a match made in heaven with some outrageously expensive vehicles on display.

No Fixed Date
Islamic New Year: in predominantly Sunni Muslim Saudi Arabia, the Islamic New Year is a major event, especially in the capital. There is no drinking, of course, as is the case at the beginning of the New Year in the West but cards may be sent and families enjoy themselves together.

Hajj Feast (Eid ul-Hajj): like the end of Ramadan, this is a major deal spanning 10 days. Traditionally an animal, usually a goat, is slaughtered and much of meat is eaten. Not so prevalent now in the city but a feast is still a major part of the celebration along with regular prayer.
