Introduction to Riyadh - Al Raid
The capital city of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, is also the business centre of the kingdom and home to its first university, King Saud University. A walk around this lovely university is a great way to spend an afternoon, as it houses a museum and the campus is picturesque. The university can be found in the Al Raid area of the city and there are a few great Al Raid hotels nearby. All of these places to stay are within a 10-minute walk of Olaya, the financial district of the city and host to many famous landmarks. Just a few blocks from Al Reid is the Kingdom Centre, which is the kingdom's second-tallest building and is especially fascinating at night, when it is lit up.
