Introduction to Jubail - Beach
Saudi Arabia's largest industrial city, Jubail, consists of a stunning beach along the Persian Gulf. This stretch of sand doesn't attract many international holidaymakers but rather it is a favourite with local workers. The beach is great for swimming and especially ideal for cooling off after touring the hot desert city. There are a few Jubail Beach hotels along the 1,000-metre long beach, all within less than 10kms of the city centre, wherea 4th century church ranks as the top tourist draw. There is no alcohol allowed here but the beach is lined with plenty of restaurants, juice bars and coffee shops, and visitors can taste the local cuisine while watching the waves crash along the beautiful strip of sand. The long stretch of beach is lined with palm trees. For early risers, a glimpse at the spectacular sunrise is a must.
