Introduction to Jeddah - Al Ammariyah
The city of Jeddah is one of the most important settlements in Saudi Arabia. It contains the largest port along the Red Sea, which is an important feature for Saudi's oil industry. One of the most accessible and most important areas of the city is Al Ammariyah. It is located in the southern region of the city, just a kilometre inland from the waterfront, and about six kilometres from the southern industrial area. There are several Al Ammariyah hotels located in the area, some of which are the most expensive accommodation choices found in the entire city. The famous corniche of the city of Jeddah is found just a few hundred metres from the district. The area is surrounded by several important districts, including Al Balad to the west, As Sabil to the south and Al Baghdadiyah to the north.
