Introduction to Gros Islet - Choc Bay
Choc Bay is a Caribbean seaside location situated midway between St Lucia's capital of Castries and the contemporary town of Gros Islet. George Charles Airport is two kilometres away and one of the island's chief air gateways. Transfers from the airport to Choc Bay take a few minutes at the most. The bay boasts a long stretch of soft sands lapped by calm seas. Visitors can enjoy windsurfing, snorkelling and swimming here. The sunsets over the beach are some of the finest in the region. Choc Bay hotels are sited along the coast and provide tourists with easy beach access. There are a number of restaurants and bars on the beach and in the streets. Backing the beach are supermarkets and small shops that sell local souvenirs. As the island is small, attractions such as the turtle nesting grounds at Grande Anse Beach and Pigeon Island are easily reached.
