The Russian mid-range joints offer perhaps the best night out. Bar-Club Cynic off Antonenko is one such place, featuring all manner of games such as table football and draughts along with the occasional karaoke session and more often DJ sets playing everything from house to hip-hop depending on the night. Nevsky Prospekt is a good starting point to find other drinking holes such as Seventh Pint and Cannelle Bar, which is big on cocktails.
St Petersburg is also a favourite for gamblers. Casinos like Adamant on Nabereznaya Reki Moiki offers free drinks for those playing the tables and a regular happy hour from 09:00 until 01:00.
