Hunedoara is located in the south west of Romania in the Transylvania region. Mountains and valleys mark the landscape in this part of Romania and the rolling hills of Hunedoara are picturesque and well fitted with hiking and mountain biking trails. Hunyad Castle is one of the major landmarks and some hotels in Hunedoara will incorporate the spires of the castle in their branding and signage.
