Introduction to Bucharest - Herastrau Park
The Romanian capital of Bucharest is situated on the River Dambovita in the south of the nation. The city is also the financial and cultural heart of Romania and is home to magnificent edifices that include the Palace of the Parliament and the Curtea Veche ruins, museums and performing arts venues. The most famous of the museums is the Romanian National, whose extensive collections of medieval and contemporary art are housed in an old palace. Herastrau Park is located in the upper limits of Bucharest and is on the shores of Lake Herastrau. The park is linked to the city centre by public transport. Visitors opting for Herastrau Park hotels can easily reach the centre but can take advantage of the pristine park for relaxation.
