Introduction to Brasov, Romania
The heights of Tampa Mountain offer splendid views of Brasov, the capital of the Romanian county of the same name that is home to over a quarter of a million people. Brasov is the eighth largest city in Romania and lies in the geographic centre of the country, relatively near to Bucharest. It is surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains including the Tampa Mountain which is accessible to trekkers and hikers via many great mountain paths. Brasov hotels are usually packed to the rafters during the annual Golden Stag International Music Festival but through all times of the year there are plenty of visitors in town enjoying landmarks such as the celebrated Black Church and the Casa Sfatului. The town benefit from the town's concentricity since most accommodations are located within comfortable walking distance to all the town's major attractions. There are some excellent campgrounds and student dormitories in this land too.
