Introduction to Porto - Campanha
Campanha Station is Porto's main railway station and an important transportation hub within this historic city whose centre has been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. Found in the eastern part of the city, Campanha is a fantastic place to use as a base for exploring the entire city due to its busy railway station and connection to the Porto Metro and CP Urban Porto metro lines. As a result, there are plenty of Campanha hotels which are within walking distance of public transportation. The area itself has some fantastic historical sites that are well worth visiting, such as the Palacio do Freixo (Palace of Ash) and the Igreja de Campanha (Campanha Church). There are also a couple of magnificent mansions that are worth taking a glimpse at including the Casa das Artes (House of the Arts).
