Obidos is a grand historical town in the south east of Portugal. It is a medieval walled town and the ramparts of the old fort are still perfectly intact. Many hotels in Obidos are located inside the old fort walls and this is a great selling point for many, as the atmosphere in these accommodations is very hard to match. Obidos hotels, however, are available for all travel needs and you can secure some very beautiful five star rooms here, or if you prefer, stay in one of the campsites that are located well outside the old city walls. In the middle are all manner of pensions and guest houses. Bed and breakfasts are numerous, too. Obidos hotels can become heavily booked in the peak summer season just like most other places in Europe and the UK. This means that you should try to arrange a reservation in advance, to avoid any disappointment when you do arrive in Obidos.
