The traditional facade Grande De Porto Hotel is in the historic part of Porto. It is situated opposite Santa Caterina, a main pedestrianised shopping street, 5 minutes walk from Bolhao Metro Station and about a 15 minute walk downhill to the river and it’s attractions and cafes. The Grande De Porto Hotel has a lovely lounge with marble pillars and a carved ceiling, large window, classic style restaurant. Rooms are fairly small and spartan, and have reasonable size bathrooms.

The restaurant is equally decorated in a very traditonal style with lovely crystal chandeliers and carved ceilings.

Lobby:

The lobby and reception areas are superbly decorated in a traditional style decorated with original 18th century style, highlight polished parquet flooring, marble columns with polished brass fittings and carved wood. The furnishings are of a soft pale green coloured fabric and rugs to match. The walls are brilliant white with large wooden panels at floor level thus giving a feel of antiquity.

Exterior:

The outer facade of this hotel is traditional with a lovely carved sandstone facade and corrugated iron gates and balconies painted white giving a homely look and feel.
