Situated in Portugal's northern region of Resende, the town of Felgueiras is a minute settlement of only 400 people. Nevertheless, there are several important sites within the town that visitors can discover while staying here. The town is less than 10kms from the IP3 highway, which is a large arterial road passing through the northern region of Portugal. The town is five kilometres to the south of the Douro River, which eventually runs through Porto. There are only a handful of Felgueiras hotels for visitors, but these establishments generally don't get busy throughout the year. While visiting the town, tourists are able to witness some interesting sites. The small but historically significant Chapel of Santo Espirito is a marvelous little structure found in the town. Also, the Chapel of Saint Christopher is another site to behold. It hosts an annual religious festival on the 25 July, bringing several thousands of onlookers and participants.
