Kampinoski Park: located in countryside to the northwest of Warsaw is an area of forests, mountains and pristine lakes, known as Kampinoski Park. In the park you’ll find an educational centre, walking trails, sand dunes, peat bogs and an abundance of wildlife.
This is one of the largest parks of its kind in such close proximity to a major urban area. It’s easily accessed by PKS bus from the main bus station in Warsaw, Dworzec Zachodni, located at al Jerozolimskie 144.
Boat tours operate quite frequently on the river in the summer months. Significant highlights of the town include the Town Hall and the Church of St John, both dating from the 13th century; and also the Gothic townhouse in which Copernicus was born.
Torun can be reached by train from Warsaw’s central rail station, with a journey time of approximately 3 hours; or by Polski Express bus service, departing hourly from the bus stop close to the central rail station – with a trip duration of 3 hours, 40 minutes.
