Warsaw Travel Guide - Activities

Golf: located about a half hour’s drive outside the city in the suburb of Jablonna, the First Warsaw Golf & Country Club is a great place for golfers of all ability levels. The club boasts an 18-hole course that’s up to international standards, and also a driving range and putting green where beginners can work on their skills. There are classes for golfing enthusiasts on offer; and a terrace restaurant that gets good reviews.
Gondola: Lazienki Park provides gondolas for visitors to ride, starting at the Palace on the Water, and circling around the lake to take in the many sights in the park. Although the trip is a short one, lasting only 10 minutes, it’s very popular with families and children. Each gondola holds up to 10 passengers.
This is a popular place for picnics; and there are other options for eating nearby as well, in the form of local pubs that are located just outside the park itself. Special events and festivals are frequently held on park grounds.
Skiing and snowboarding: it’s possible to ski and snowboard right in the city at CSN Szczesliwice, which boasts the only urban ski lift in the country.
