Krakow (Cracow) Travel Guide - Weather

Typically, winters here are quite severe, characterised by frequent snowstorms and temperatures falling below the freezing point. Summers tend to be warm, but comfortably so, with only the occasional heat wave making for uncomfortable conditions.
Most visitors come to Krakow between May and October, when the average daily temperature range is from 15°C to 25°C. This is the time of year that experiences the heaviest rainfall however, due to warm winds blowing in from the Atlantic; and having an umbrella handy is a good idea.
Although the temperatures drop to around 15°C, this actually may be the best time of year for you to visit. By November however, the days are shorter and cold winds and fog can be present. Snow eventually arrives and dominates the weather until March.
During the winter months, Krakow experiences only about an hour and a half of sunshine, and temperatures remain around the freezing point – or slightly below.
