Many visitors will know Wroclaw by its former German name Breslau. This city is gaining in popularity with tourists as budget airlines offer cheap flights to the city. There is plenty to see and do here and good quality, reasonably priced hotels in Wroclaw add to the attraction. There are several old bridges traversing the River Oder, a great mix of old and new architecture and a buzzing night atmosphere. Like many Polish cities, the best of the amenities, entertainment and hotels in Wroclaw are found around in the heart of the town. The huge central square, Rynek, is the hub of Wroclaw and easy to get to from most Wroclaw hotels. Nearby restaurants and bars provide a great night out and you will also find one of the city’s most visited attractions, St Maria Magdalena Church close to the square. Cross the Penances Bridge from the tower and appreciate some fine city views.
