Introduction to Krakow - Debniki
On the south bank of the Vistula River is Debniki, a Krakow suburb that is primarily residential. There is little in the way of major tourist attractions here aside from an 11th century Benedictine abbey in Tyniec and the open green area of Zakrzowek Nature Park. The former attraction today hosts classical music concerts in the summer months. Because of the district's proximity to the beautiful Podgorze district, across the river to the north, it makes for a nice, quiet base for sightseers to the city, and Debniki hotels come in all budgets and standards. The atmospheric, mysterious and wonderful streets of the Old Town are just a short taxi ride away and where visitors will find all that is needed to escape from the daily pressures of modern life. Restaurants, bars and cafes, all of which contribute to the Polish city's appeal, can be found in every corner of the city, including in Debniki district.Visit our Krakow Travel Guide
