Introduction to Karpacz, Poland
Karpacz is a Polish ski resort and spa town of around 5,000 inhabitants, which is located in the southwestern Karkonosze Mountains. It is one of the Poland's most popular mountain holiday resorts and attracts more tourists than it has permanent residents. The area is ideal for hikers and skiers, and is just a few kilometres north of Karkonosze National Park. Karpacz is situated along a 10km stretch of road and is made up of two parts: Karpacz Gorny, where holiday homes are found, and Karpacz Dolny, where most Karpacz hotels, shops, restaurants and bars are located. One of the main attractions in the town is the small, and rather unusual, Toy Museum. It may also be worth visiting the unique Lutheran Wang Chapel, a wooden structure which was built in the 13th century without a single nail. However, without doubt, the main draws are the outdoor activities on offer, and from Karkonosze National Park there six trails as well as a chairlift and ski lifts that lead to Mt Sniezka, which overlooks the town. other spellings: karpacshotels, otelin karpazc, karpcaz hotell, karapcz hote, kapracz hotes, krapacz
