Las Pinas: lying northwest of the Manila Bay, Las Pinas is best known for being home to the famous Bamboo Organ. The Bamboo Organ Festival held every February attracts throngs of tourists each year. The city is also famous for its clean environment, having been hailed the cleanest and greenest city in Metro Manila for three consecutive years.
Tagaytay: located about 70kms from Manila, Tagaytay offers a welcome breath of fresh air and a great view of the Taal Lake and the Taal Volcano. You can take a boat ride on the lake approaching the volcano, or take a picnic on the banks.
Corregidor: one of the Philippines' most historic sites, Corregidor is a mute witness to one of the greatest battles fought during the Filipino-American War. A number of monuments and memorials have been built on the island to pay tribute to the soldiers who died in service.
The old headquarters and gun emplacements are well-preserved and serve as the island's main attractions. Corregidor guards the entrance to Manila Bay and ferry service depart from the bay every morning for a day-long tour.
