A regular trip should cost you about P60.00 to P70.00 (a little bit more than a US dollar). Jeepneys are much cheaper at P7.00 and are available 24/7, but they only pass major thoroughfares. You may need to take several jeepneys to get to your destination. There are numerous companies offering cars for rent. Ask your hotel attendant to refer you to a good one.
By air: Davao is serviced by the Davao International Airport (DIA). It receives daily flights to and from the major cities in the Philippines as well as other international countries. Davao can be reached in 1 hour, 30 minutes from Manila, 55 minutes from Cebu, 35 minutes from Cagayan, and 1 hour, 20 minutes from Zamboanga. It is also possible to fly directly from Indonesia, Singapore, or Palau.
