Boracay Travel Guide
By air: it is possible to fly into Caticlan Malay Airport (MPH) or at the Kalibo Airport (KLO) from destinations across the world. There are no direct flights to the island but it is easily reached from wither of these airports. Several domestic and international airlines provide regional flight services such as Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and Asian Spirit.
By bus: tourists arriving at the Kalibo Airport can take a 2 hour air-conditioned bus ride to Caticlan via Boracay Star Express, Southwest Tours, or 7107 Island Tours. The journey from Kalibo to Caticlan lasts approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes. Getting to Boracay from Iloilo, Bacolod, and the other neighbouring islands in Negros is also possible by bus ride. Travel time is approximately 5 hours.
The route from Manila to Dumaguit is provided by the WG&A Superferry. From Caticlan, a motorised outrigger boat transports passengers to any of the three boat ports on the island.
By car: it is possible to reach Caticlan and Boracay via the Strong Republic Nautical Highway that provides access from Batangas to Cagayan de Oro and Mindanao. Roll-On, Roll-Off (RORO) vessels, which are provided by the Montenegro Shipping Lines, are also available.
