Introduction to Manila - Pasig City
Manila's Pasig City has an array of attractions, shopping areas, bars and hotels for the visitor to enjoy. The Pasig City Museum details the history of the area and is housed in the former Concepcion family mansion, a magnificent building. Nearby at Plaza Rizal is the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, which is busy at weekends due to the amount of people visiting to take mass. In the heart of Pasig City, the recently-opened Frontera Verde development is a retail area which has some great shops, restaurants and a small zoo. Tiendesitas, an outdoor shopping complex that has hundreds of stalls selling a variety of goods and souvenirs, and is open well into the night, can also be found here.
