Introduction to Leyte - Albuera
The community of Albuera is considered a third-class municipality, and is located in the province of Leyte in the central part of the Philippines. Guests who visit this part of the Eastern Visayas region may stay in rooms at any of the Albuera hotels or rent one of the traditional Filipino accommodations known as nipa huts. All of these accommodations, however, are just brief distances from the nearest beach, which boasts clear waters along its shores of pebbly stones. Between 20 and 30 people at a time may rent one of two available rafts to drift along the waters. The ditches of the local streets are reinforced with cement, and most local structures are unfortunately made from concrete, including its tennis courts and municipal building. Albuera is subdivided into 16 smaller municipalities, traditionally called barangays, and its nearest larger cities are Baybay, 16kms to its south, and the port city of Ormoc, 25kms away.other spellings: albuerahotels, albeura otel, hotellin abuera, albura hote, alburae hotes, albeera
