Introduction to Cavite, Philippines
Known as the 'History Capital of the Philippines', the province of Cavite was the birthplace of national independence. This is one of the easier places to explore in the Philippines thanks both to it being relatively close to the transport links of Manila and the fact that most people here speak English as well as Tagalog. Many hotels in Cavite are located close to major highways but the views from these expressways can fool travellers into thinking there's little here apart from built-up Manila commuter towns. Easily the most popular destination is Tagaytay City, considered a must-see part of Luzon and one of the top attractions in the country. The city occupies a visually-stunning location on a ridge in the Batangas, overlooking both Taal Lake and Taal Volcano, whose eruptions created the caldera that forms the lake. To the north, at the far end of the province, Cavite City looks out onto Manila Bay. There is no lack of golf courses, many of which sit within or next to large nature areas. Manila's international airport is about 50kms away.other spellings: otelin cavite, hotellin cavite, cavit hote, cavete hotels, cavite hotle, cawite hotes
