Introduction to Trujillo, Peru
Standing as the third largest city in modern day Peru, Trujillo contains a population of almost one million residents. Even though the city is the economic and commercial hub for the northern provinces of Peru, tourism is considered to be an important aspect of the city's economy. Most hotels can be found right in the heart of the city, which vary from backpacker budget accommodation to exquisite, five star lodgings. Some accommodations are located at the city fringes, close to several famous attractions. The Moche and Chimu civilisations once existed in close proximity to Trujillo, therefore, the city has a vast array of ancient sites and structures to experience. Hotels in Trujillo can provide tours of the city's archaeological sites, such as Chan Chan, El Brujo and Huaca de la Luna. Other landmarks worth visiting include Plaza de Armas, Huanchaco Beach, House of Mayorazgo, and Trujillo Cathedral. The city is served by the Carlos Martinez de Pinillos International Airport.other spellings: trujillohotels, peru trujillo otel, trujilo hotell, hote trujllo, hoteltrujillo, tujillo hotes
