Introduction to Pisac, Peru
Located in the Urubamba Valley, home to the world's most fascinating ancient Inca civilisation, Pisac is home to some of the most significant ruins and relics of Peru's ancient cultures. It is a small township or village, famous for its close distance to several archaeological sites. However, the town also attracts thousands of tourists, both local and international, through its popular market, which operates three days each week. Hotels in Pisac are generally quite limited, with most people choosing to stay in the larger city of Cuzco, just 15 km to the west of the region. If travellers desire to stay in the village, then several establishments are located along the busy town square. Although quite cheap, travellers are usually surprised at the comfort and convenience the accommodations provide guests, especially when the famous markets and Inca ruins of the area are within minutes by foot or tour van.other spellings: hotelspisac, pisac otel, hotellin pisaq, pisec hote, pisac hotelsperu, pisaq hotels
