Asuncion - see the National Pantheon of the Heroes
No part of Paraguay has seen more celebrations than the National Pantheon of the Heroes in Asuncion. It is here that everyone comes to when major announcements are made. The building took 72 years to complete and was originally planned to be a simple chapel. There are plaques all around the interior of the building from former enemies as well as the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
