Koror - explore the Rock Islands
The Rock Islands of Palau is rated as one of the top 10 remote islands in the world. It was made famous by the TV series Survivor,showed in 2005. There are in fact about 300 islands and outcroppings in this region that make up the Rock Islands. They are made up of limestone or coral and are all covered by dense forest. Helen’s island is one of the smallest in Palau, as it is only 40 metres wide and about 100 metres long, and is the only outcropping on the much larger Helen’s Reef.
