Discount Salalah Oman Hotels

Unlike most destinations most tourists come to Salalah, in the Sultanate of Oman, during the monsoon (Khareef) season. This is from late June to early September and hotels in Salalah are at their busiest as many visitors arrive from all over the Persian Gulf to escape the heat they experience at this time of year. There are a lot of hotels in Salalah to choose from either in the centre of the city or on the coast, close to the beaches. There is also a good selection of restaurants offering Asian and European dishes in addition to local cuisine. The much visited area of Haffa is the old city and market (souq) here is the place to buy your souvenirs. Frankincense sellers are everywhere but you can pick up some good local handicrafts and dates. Most of the better Salalah hotels will have bars but alcohol is not sold in many other outlets.
