Introduction to Muscat - Wadi Kabir
Wadi Kabir is a village on the outskirts of Muscat, the Omani capital. The village is noted for its breathtaking location in a deep valley surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. Wadi Kabir hotels offer an excellent alternative to the busier accommodation in the city centre, yet retain easy access to all of the region's important attractions. The village is located either side of Al Bustan Street. This road allows travellers to reach Ruwi, the city's commercial centre, which is a couple of miles to the northwest. To the east, Al Bustan Street also leads to the coastline and some of Muscat's most secluded beaches. It only takes 10 minutes to reach the beaches by hire car via a scenic road which cuts through the mountains. Travellers can get here by flying to As Seeb International Airport, around 25 minutes' drive away.
