Introduction to Dibba, Oman
Dibba is a large natural harbour directly on the border between Oman and the United Arab Emirates. Since prehistoric times, it has been widely used for maritime trade, though it is much quieter today compared to its spirited history. Nearby archaeological sites date from as far back as 3000 BC. Dibba hotels are located under the shadow of the great mountains of the Musandam Peninsula, along an active fault that continues to affect the surrounding geography. There are several resorts lining the coast that offer diving among coral reef. The region is split into three towns, with the largest being Dibba Al-Fujairah in the UAE. Boasting mountains and beaches, this town is popular for camping, while the neighbouring town of Dibba Al-Hisn is known for its fish market and Portuguese fortress. On the Omani side, Dibba Al-Baya acts as the gateway to the Musandam Peninsula. From Dibba, it is possible to board a traditional dhow and sail across the Gulf of Oman.other spellings: dibbahotels, otel in dibab, dbiba hotell, idbba hote, diba hotle, dib ba hotes
