Metro: Oslo’s Metro is known as the T-banen. There are seven lines, all of which converge at Stortinget Station in the centre. Four of the lines serve the eastern sectors of the city, while the other three run westward providing service to the residential and recreational areas found to the west and the north. Service hours are from 05:30 to midnight daily. Single-trip tickets are fairly expensive, but there are a number of special ticket plans available.
Train: Oslo’s train station only handles trains connecting the centre with suburbs and other regional cities: there is no rail service connecting points within Oslo itself.
Taxi: taxi services in Oslo are expensive with additional tariffs being added between 17:00-22:00 and again during the period 22:00-04:00. Taxis are metered and you’ll find the drivers friendly and mostly honest. Taxi stands are located throughout the city, or alternatively, you can phone for service, although there will be an additional charge.
