Summer Parade: is an opportunity for Oslo’s residents to celebrate the long days of their short summer. Each July, a colourful parade makes its way through the city and is followed by a big party. The festivities continue at night at nearly every one of the city’s clubs.

Ibsen Festival: is an annual celebration of the dramatic works of Norway’s most famous playwright. International theatre companies descend on Oslo in September to perform many of Henrik Ibsen’s works, in both Norwegian and English. Even the plays staged in Norwegian are subtitled in English, ensuring that visitors can enjoy the brilliant work of this playwright.
