Traditional Norwegian cuisine has been updated somewhat into a ‘New Scandinavian’ menu which features local seafood and game combined with spices and sauces from other parts of Europe.

For visitors who are interested, the old classics can still be found everywhere and include lutefisk (cod served with a translucent sauce) and pinnekjott (dried and smoked lamb ribs accompanied by potatœes and mashed swede). Cloudberries are a specialty of Oslo and this is one of the few places in the world where they are found.
