Tjome is a stunningly beautiful little village located on the island of Feierskauen, in the county of Vestfold, at the southern end of Norway. Several of the neighbouring islands fall within the municipal area. Hotels in Tjome are primarily located in the central area, where many shops and restaurants are also found. Summers can get busy here, as the island's native population of about 4,500 swells with the arrival of seasonal visitors, including Norway's royal family, which keeps a summer house here. The main attractions of Tjome are the excellent weather and the fantastic range of water sports that can be enjoyed in the seas around the islands. The southern end of the island is popular with tourists, who are attracted by its fame as the End of the Earth, or Verdens Ende. Geographically, the name may be inaccurate, but the panoramic views of a vast, empty ocean certainly make it appropriate. Nearby is a large nature and recreational area called Moutmarka. There are plenty of good beaches that get busy in the summer. The neighbouring island of Hvasser offers plenty more beautiful nature as well as a fishermen's village.
