Introduction to Mo I Rana - Beach
Mo I Rana Beach is a Norwegian town on the shores of the Ranfjord, in the northern part of the country. Known for its natural beauty and starkness, the town sees its highest visitor numbers in the summer as people flock here to enjoy activities on the fjord. In the winter, a steady trickle of visitors arrives to go sledding and ice fishing. Mo I Rana Beach hotels are mostly located off the Ole Tobias Olsens Gate road, inland from the coast. This area is famous for the Gronli Cave, which is over one kilometre in length and made up of 120 smaller caves. Guided tours of the cave are available but may not be suitable for young children. A good place to learn about the history and the flora and fauna of the area is the Rana Museum of Natural History. The museum has a 'touching' area, which children will love. For something unusual, book a glacier tour to hike the Svartisen Glacier, the second-largest glacier in Norway. The glacier is located within the Saltfjellet-Svartisen National Park, which spans as far west as the Swedish border.other spellings: mo i rana otel beach, moi rana bech hotell, moirana hote, moi ranahotels, moirana hotle
