Introduction to Lillehammer, Norway
The town of Lillehammer gained instant world recognitions in 1994 when the Winter Olympics were held here. Many winter sports enthusiasts visit the town making the hotels in Lillehammer busy at times. However, this is not just a winter destination. Its location on the edge of Lake Mjosa and close to the River Lagen makes this a great place for walkers and hikers during the summer months. The central hotels in Lillehammer are most handily placed for seeing the attractive town that is made up of many 19th century wooden buildings. Lillehammer is one of the oldest ski resorts in Norway and has superb facilities coupled with great bars and restaurants. Ski bus stops are conveniently close to the most Lillehammer Hotels. One must see attraction is the Olympic Lysgardsbakkene Ski Jumping Arena where you can climb more than 950 steps to peer down the K120 hill and take in the spectacular views of the town and lake.other spellings: lillehammer otel, lilehamer hotell, lille hammer hote, hotle in lilehammer
