Geiranger Hotel - Norway

The Geiranger Hotel is an opulent property a short drive from the city centre and close to the fjord. It is surrounded by hills and is within walking distance of the shore where travellers can hire boats to explore the rest of Geirangerfjord. Ornesvingen, Flydasljuvet, and Dalsnibba are among the points of interest in the immediate locality. Boating excursions to Skagefla farm can be arranged. Hikers will enjoy a visit to Vesteras Mountain and Losta. The restaurant and pub on the 6th floor boast views of the Geirangerfjord.

The restaurant is modern, but has some nice rustic touches and enjoys spectacular views of the fjord.

The lobby is surprisingly small, but there is plentiful seating in a separate lounge area.

The Geiranger hotel was previously two separate hotels which have now been converted into one hotel by constructing a overhead walkway linking the two buildings. The overall impression is functional rather than beautiful.
