The town of Finnsnes in northern Norway belongs to a larger municipality called Lenvik, located in the county of Troms. There are two Finnsnes hotels, and many of the guests in both accommodations intend to visit the nearby island of Senja. The three modern shopping centres within the community are called Fredheim, Kvistad and Torgsentret, and a lively week-long festival takes place here each summer. Up to 400 people can enjoy a live performance at the Finnsnes House of Culture, which also houses the public library. Visitors can camp or rent traditional fishing boats at Bjorelvnes museum, which contains traditional cultural exhibits inside its doors. However, this small city remains most famous as the gateway to the island which lies on the other side of its main bridge, Senja. Often nicknamed the 'Island of Adventure' and the 'Fairytale Island', Senja is said to resemble a miniature version of the nation of Norway because it contains its own breathtaking fjords, distinct culture, weather variations and magnificent mountains.
