Introduction to Bodo, Norway
Bodo is a city on the north coast of Norway. It is sited on a peninsula in the country's Salten region, slightly north of the Arctic Circle. There is a choice of Bodo hotels, mainly on the north side of the peninsula, facing out to the Norwegian Sea, close to the ferry port and the railway terminus. The airport is at the end of the peninsula, two kilometres from the downtown area. As the airport is close to the city, arriving passengers can be safely ensconced in their hotels within a short time of landing. The hotels are conveniently located for the city's cafes and restaurants, as well as Salten Museum. Hotels in Bodo offer a good base for visiting air museum or hiking in the Geitvagen nature area. Staying here is a comfortable start point for boarding passenger ferries to the Lofoten Islands or going to see the maelstrom at Saltstraumen.other spellings: bodohotels, bodo otel, bodo hotell, bodoe hote, budo hotle, bodoo hotes
