Introduction to Alta, Norway
Situated to the extreme north of Norway, in Finmark County, is the charming city of Alta. With a population of approximately 17,500, this municipality is quite large in comparison to other far north municipalities. Though Alta is exposed to harsh weather throughout the year, the locals have done a fascinating job of creating an environment that is very popular among tourists.
