Alesund is a fishing port in the Sunnmore region of western Norway. Alesund is packed with enchanting architecture and surrounded by wonderful views. Alesund is spread over seven islands. The old timber framed houses in the city centre burnt down in 1904 and the town was rebuilt in a classic Art Nouveau style.
