Things to do in Northern Mariana Island
Saipan - get a great diving experience at The Grotto
Diving in the waters of Saipan, is one of the world’s greatest diving experiences. One of the best locations in the region is “The Grotto”. Accessible by a series of 100 steps that lead down to the water, the dive is all about water clarity, and the light that streams down through the gaps in the cliff face. There are actually 3 different dive sites here, each suits a diver with different air consumption, who should be accompanied by an experienced diver of the area. Saipan - see the blooming flame trees
Northern Mariana Island is totally transformed in a blaze of colour, as the indigenous flame trees come in to bloom. As the name suggests these are brilliant red in colour and are so vivid. There are so many of them that they can be seen from planes as they come in to land. The best time of the year to see these amazing, colourful displays is between March and July.Introduction to Northern Mariana Island
