One of Northern Ireland's favourite tourism resort destinations is the coastal town of Portrush, located at the extreme northern tip of the country. Ramore Head, a mile-long peninsula jutting into the sea, is where much of the old town is situated. Here, visitors will find many excellent Portrush hotels along with plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops to enjoy. The railway station is also on Ramore Head. Its three sandy beaches are known as White Rock, East Strand and West Strand. They are the main tourist attraction here, though Northern Ireland's largest amusement park, Barry's Amusements, also draws huge crowds. Royal Portrush Golf Club and Ballyreagh Golf Course are legendary courses right on the edge of town, and the country's largest nightclub complex, Kelly's, is home to dozens of hot clubs and bars. The mix of outdoor recreation and indoor entertainment keeps this beach town at the top of many Irish holiday lists.
